LD’s Idea Journal #6: A Fancy Salon Idea
Introductions
So in this Idea Journal, I will be talking about my final project in Creative Thinking College Subject. I was grouped with some of my friends who apparently have similar “pandemic quick-fix proposal” (read LD’s Idea Journal #4) with me. They also have some interesting Big Idea such as “Staying Home and Get Discount Vouchers”, “How to Keep The Elders Inside your Home During This Pandemic”, etc. One that was very interesting was the idea of my friend Felis. She proposed a big idea about “Salon at Home”.
The Interesting Big Idea
Basically, Felis’ big idea was about “On-Call Salon” which is pretty self-explanatory. A Salon which you can call and the hairdresser will be coming at your home with some portable tools and do your hair. The Problem about this idea is that, The customer won’t have maximum result as the tools are limited and utilizes some of the customers ‘at-home tools’ such as comb and mirror. So I, as a creative thinker started to think to find a solution to this problem.
The Even Better Idea
So after facing problem with Felis’ Idea, I started thinking with The S.C.A.M.P.E.R Creative Thinking Methods. After several minutes of hard thinking, I came out with a solution which is: A Salon Truck. Yes, a mobile portable ‘on-call’ salon which can go anywhere the customer requested.
This truck will be the size of a minibus (Elf bus) and will have everything needed for hair-styling, hair-washing, and even color-dyeing. This salon will only serve one customer at a time to control its hygiene. You can of course order two service for two customers, but you will be served one by one. This truck will have customer seats, one for hair styling and all the ‘dry stuff’, one for the hair washing. This truck will be modificated in such way that it will accommodate anything needed for a hair service such as lights and electricity. The truck will be operated by one person only that will serve as a driver, hairdresser, and sanitation.
This truck will be joining venture with @potong.id which has been doing an ‘on-call’ Salon Service, with this Truck, @potong.id will vary their services and gain more customers.
